An important holiday in Kazakhstan - Independence Day

December 16 is the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Republic of Kazakhstan adopted the Law on Independence and State Sovereignty 31 years ago.

Turkey was the first country to recognize Kazakhstan's independence just hours after it declared independence. The United States, China, the United Kingdom, Mongolia, France and other countries followed closely behind.

According to the amendment to the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan people will have a day off on Independence Day (Friday), December 16 this year. In this way, people in Kazakhstan can take three consecutive days off from December 16th (statutory holiday) to December 18th (weekend holiday).

To commemorate the Independence Day national holiday, Kazakhstan will hold official events to commemorate national heroes who dedicated their lives to preserving the national identity of the Kazakh people and fighting for their independent development.

On the day of the holiday, massive celebrations take place across the country. On the eve of the festival, outstanding figures in culture, art, sports, politics and other fields will also receive awards.

Since independence, Kazakhstan has made remarkable achievements in political, economic and social development.

Direct economic investment from foreign countries has exceeded US$370 billion in 30 years.

Over the past 30 years, Kazakhstan has built a total of 13,000 kilometers of roads and 2,700 kilometers of railways.

Kazakhstan has also successfully established the Astana Financial Center (AIFC), the largest international financial center in Central Asia, in the capital Astana.

Kazakhstan not only has rich natural resources and a strong industrial base, but is also one of the world's major food exporters.
