Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was established in 1988, formerly known as the Almaty School of Management, and changed its name to Almaty University of Management in 2014. The university is the first business school in Kazakhstan, and its management major ranks first in Kazakhstan.

The school offers bachelor's, MBA and DBA degrees in the field of economics. Almaty University of Management currently has 250 academic staff and more than 3,500 students.

Almaty University of Management currently has four colleges: School of Business, Graduate School of Public Policy and Law, School of Engineering Management, and School of General Education.

The languages of instruction include Kazakh, Russian and English, and more than 20 majors are offered, including management, finance, marketing, hotel management, software engineering, business analysis and global data.

Almaty University of Management ranks 301 in THE World University Ranking 2019.

The MBA program offered by the Graduate School of Business of Almaty Management University has passed the AMBA international certification. It is the only business school in Central Asia and Kazakhstan that has passed the AMBA international certification.

Almaty University of Management has won 4 palmes in the world ranking of Eduniversal business schools in France. It is a top business school with significant international influence (Top business school with significant international influence), and Central Asia Business School ranks first.

Almaty University of Management currently has international cooperation with 83 foreign schools, and accepts students from about 26 countries to study and exchange at Almaty University of Management every year.

Almaty University of Management attaches great importance to establishing partnerships with Chinese universities. It is now cooperating with Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin University of Commerce, Beijing International Studies University, Lanzhou University, Tongji University and other universities in China, and actively accepts partner institutions students to Kazakhstan for a short-term exchange program.
