The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan issued a statement on the Taiwan issue on August 4.

Aybek Smadyarvov, spokesman for the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the Republic of Kazakhstan supports the one-China principle and believes that Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People's Republic of China.

Kazakhstan supports compliance with existing norms of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, in particular United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 of 1971.

At the same time, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that visits by foreign official delegations to Taiwan should be negotiated with the Chinese government.
