On December 13, the economic and trade delegation and business cooperation working group organized by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China arrived in Kazakhstan for a 10-day trip to Central Asian countries. During the period, they will visit Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan to carry out a series of economic and trade cooperation activities.

In order to facilitate this visit, the party committee and government of the autonomous region actively overcome the impact of the epidemic and made arrangements in early November. The delegation is composed of relevant departments of the autonomous region and key enterprises. It is the first government economic and trade delegation from Xinjiang to visit since the epidemic.

On the 13th, the "China Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Kazakhstan Jet Suzhou Business Forum" was held in Jet Suzhou Taldykorgan.

Sun Hongmei, vice chairman of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region, said in a speech at the forum that we had pragmatic talks on issues of common concern, and we had in-depth exchanges, put forward constructive opinions and reached consensus, laying the foundation for the next step of cooperation.

Jet Suzhou has a unique geographical location and obvious location advantages. The "Horgos-Dongdaemun" free economic zone is ready to go. The two sides have great potential in improving transit transportation capacity and expanding economic and trade cooperation. This meeting has opened up new space for strengthening cooperation. We will further make good use of local cooperation mechanisms and rely on platforms such as the China-Kazakhs Khorgos International Border Cooperation Center to promote more in-depth cooperation in areas of superiority between the two sides.

Under the joint witness of both parties, Xinjiang TBEA and your International Energy Science Integration Center signed a cooperation project, which has achieved fruitful results.

During this visit, the delegation will also hold the "China Xinjiang-Kazakhstan Economic and Trade Investment Cooperation Promotion Conference" in Kazakhstan to promote the investment environment, investment project planning and preferential policies of both parties, build a platform for cooperation and exchanges between the two companies, and promote a number of cooperation projects sign a contract.

It is understood that from January to October this year, the total import and export value between Xinjiang and the five Central Asian countries was 22.4 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 60.9%, accounting for 76.2% of the total import and export value of Xinjiang and my country's total import and export value to the five Central Asian countries. 45.6%, the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides is strong, with great potential and sufficient space for mutually beneficial cooperation.
